AI Disclosure

Last updated September 23, 2026.

RPLY sends text messages on behalf of a business when a call is missed. Some of those messages are written by software. Here is exactly what that means.

What is automated

  • The first reply to a missed call is sent automatically by the business's configuration.
  • Follow-up questions, booking suggestions and reminders can be generated from the answers, hours, services and pricing the business set up.
  • The business can require approval before any generated message is sent, and can take over the conversation at any moment.

What AI never does

  • It does not pretend to be a named person who is not involved, and it does not deny being automated if a customer asks.
  • It does not give medical, legal, financial or insurance advice, and it does not collect health details, case details, policy numbers, Social Security numbers, bank or card details.
  • It does not take payments.
  • It does not send messages to anyone who has opted out.
  • It does not commit the business to a final price. Ranges and estimates are indicative until the business confirms them.

Accuracy

Generated replies can be wrong or incomplete. They are based on the information the business enters, so an out-of-date answer produces an out-of-date reply. The business is responsible for what is sent from its number, and a person can correct any conversation.

For customers receiving messages

  • You are texting a business, not RPLY. RPLY is the software the business uses.
  • Reply STOP at any time to stop messages, or HELP for the business's contact details.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • You do not need an account and you are not signed up for marketing by replying.

See the Messaging Policy and Privacy Policy for details.

How message content is processed

To generate a reply, the relevant conversation text and the business's configured information are sent to our model providers through their business API access. Providers process this to produce the reply. We do not sell this content and we do not use it for advertising. Conversation history stays in the business's account and is covered by our business data commitments.
