Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated January 1, 1970.

This policy keeps the service safe for the businesses that rely on it and for the customers they message.

Permitted use

  • Replying to people who called, texted or contacted your business
  • Answering questions, quoting work, booking appointments and taking orders
  • Following up with customers who asked you to, or who consented to updates
  • Coordinating your own team inside the shared inbox

Prohibited use

  • Unsolicited bulk or promotional messaging to people who did not consent
  • Uploading purchased, scraped or rented contact lists
  • Impersonating another business, person or public body
  • Fraud, phishing, malware or credential harvesting
  • Harassment, threats, hate speech or sexually explicit content
  • Illegal goods and services, or activity unlawful where the recipient is located
  • Attempting to bypass opt-outs, rate limits, plan limits or security controls
  • Reverse engineering, scraping the product, or reselling access without a written agreement
  • Using another business's customer data that you have no right to process

Automation responsibility

Automated replies act on the information you configure. Keep your hours, services, pricing and instructions accurate, review what the automation says on your behalf, and take over conversations that need a person.

Reporting and enforcement

We investigate reports of abuse. Depending on severity we may warn the account, pause messaging, suspend the account, or terminate it and preserve records where the law requires.
